Alcohol addiction

Alcohol dependence is treatable.

A confidential conversation is the first step. We answer 24/7.

Understanding the problem

Alcohol dependence is an illness, not a failing.

Alcohol is used by many around us - to have fun, as a remedy for emotional and stressful problems, to be part of a group, to feel good. Out of every 100 people who drink, around 20 become dependent on it, often without knowing it is happening.

Dependence narrows life quietly. Health, work, finances and relationships absorb the damage first; the person drinking usually sees it last.

How Kripa helps

Treatment that goes beyond detox.

Detoxification at Kripa is carried out under the supervision of a psychiatrist, physician, nurse, counsellors and care takers. But detox is only the beginning - it is followed by a structured four-month residential programme of counselling, group therapy, psychosocial education, the 12 Steps of AA/NA, relapse prevention and family work.

Two dedicated tracks

Alcohol and drug de-addiction.

Kripa runs two dedicated treatment tracks: alcohol de-addiction and drug de-addiction. If drugs, not alcohol, are the concern, see our drug de-addiction programme.
